God, Israel the church and the nations

(13 minutes)

In spite of all the persecution that was mounted against them, the Jewish people maintained their identity over a period of  almost 1900 years in exile.

The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob made an everlasting covenant with them.

Followers of Jesus everywhere look forward to His return and believe all that the prophets have foretold concerning God's eternal purposes.

The Bible which is God's eternal word to the world and the nations states that prior to the return of Jesus Christ, God will regather the Jewish peoples and call a remnant back to Himself through His son Jesus Christ.

Through the prophet Zechariah God has declared that the Jewish people would recognise Jesus Christ (Yeshua HaMashiach) as their Messiah.

Later the apostle Paul wrote to the believers in Rome concerning God's heart for the Jewish people and that they will ultimately be ingrafted to the body of Jesus Christ in a manner which will bring great blessing.
